From Visual Designer to Product & UIUX Designer

Hi, I’m John Morgia. I’m a Product and UI/UX Designer with over 10 years of experience in the design world. I’ve worked at mid‑ to large‑sized agencies across the US, Australia, and Canada, and I’ve helped build products for SaaS platforms, B2B and B2C services, e‑commerce, e‑learning, healthcare, and more.

I also dabble in front‑end code (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, Bootstrap, and a bit of JavaScript). It helps me communicate better with developers and understand what’s actually doable when we’re turning ideas into real products. I also leverage on using AI for improving user flows by comparing design and dev metrics before and after launch.

A lot of designers with similar experience start by checking competitors and copying what works. That’s fine sometimes, but I feel like it limits what’s possible. My process starts with imagining real scenarios like how the target audience would actually use the product. That makes it easier to spot problems early, explore more creative solutions, and deliver value for both users and the business.
